K.P. Bear by Lena Burghardt

I was born in Sweden and came to Australia in 1971 and have never looked back. I made my first bear in 1994 from an old coat the I rescued from my dog. I gave him a blanket and washed the coat and made my first bear and the rest is history as they say. I was so pleased with the effort that I made a second one and I still have those two bears to remind me where I started out from. I work mostly in mohair and small editions. I like the designing most and making a new bear is the best.I do make other critters as well as bears and to date I have a rat and a mouse, an Eskimo and a few other things.
